Having been sidelined by the WGA strike this year, the Golden Globes are set to return earlier than ever next year, on Sunday, Jan. 11.

Whoever is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States on Jan. 20 won't have to worry about being upstaged by Oscar. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has moved its annual nomination announcements from Jan. 20 to Jan. 22 to avoid a media showdown.

Gary Busey has apologized for embracing Jennifer Garner on the red carpet at the Oscars last month. The notoriously out-there actor caused quite the ruckus when he interrupted an interview between Garner and E! host Ryan Seacrest and proceeded to kiss Garner, whom he'd never met, on the neck.

While attending a post-Oscars charity event at the Beverly Hills Hilton, Gary Busey was caught on tape verbally abusing a pre-teen interviewer and then launching into an angry tirade against Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

After being left out of a montage of Oscar hosts, Whoopi Goldberg teared up on 'The View.' But the show's producer calls the omission of Goldberg an "oversight."
