dottarantino - you obviously don;t know Oliver Stone. Sympathetic portrait? I DON'T think so!

In reference to Bill Clinton - you must ask yourself, "Am I Better off today after 8 torturous years with Bush?" If you say yes, you are a Bush crony - cause only they are better off. Especially HALLIBURTON.

Too bad Alfred E. Newman isn't available. Maybe it could be a cartoon. That would be closer to what Bush really is. HEY Oliver - I hope Cheney gets a big role in your picture as the puppet master to the drunken bum. A better casting choice for Laura would be a manneqin. OR if you are going for the cartoon version, Betty Rubble. At least Wilma had stones - and I don't mean just around her neck.

Great comment Robityrob. Like you said, Clinton didn't do anything when the WTC got bombed in '93. He just sat on his hands and did nothing. But when the same things happens to Bush and he acts upon in, he's automatically scrutinized. It goes to show the liberal media bias. And by the way stewsings, do you remember the Ayatollah? What Carter couldn't resolve, Reagan DID!

Robity seems as stupid as GW if he truly believes what he says Jimmy Carter may not have been very effective as a President, and was perceived as a weak since he was a born again Christian rather than a warmonger like Herr Bush. Generally, Carter is a well respected man throughout the world for his efforts as a peaceful US embassador. Clinton did wonders to take us out of the first Bush recession while being environmentally responsible. His affair with Ms. Lewinsky was his Achilles heel and alllowed Republicans, many of whom were also having affairs of their own, a reason to go at him like rabid dogs. This left him little time to focus on anything other than self defense. Clinton may have screwed Lewinsky but Bush screwed the entire country. Oh yeah, and how's that hunt for Bin Laden going? . robityrob 05:11:51 AM Mar 31 2008 The weakest president we've ever had was by far Jimmy Carter followed by Bill Clinton. Say what you will about Bush. The weakest president we've ever had was by far Jimmy Carter followed by Bill Clinton. If they weren't so weak on going after terrorists, we would never have had 9/11. It took Bush to be tough to go after all of them. Clinton sure as hell didn't after they bombed the world trade centers the first time in '93 . There have been numerous attacks on us since then--USS Cole, Kobar towers, U.S. Embassy's, etc. until Bush took over. Clinton was weak! He cared more about getting a piece of ass in the oval office instead of going after terrorists. I want anyone out there to name one, just one major terrorist attack in this country after 9/11--you can't, why? because Bush went after them and that irks the hell out of Clinton because he couldn't do it.

Haven't we had enough of George W. Bush? Does Mr. Stone really think we will be ready to see him portrayed on the big screen, likely as some sympathetic guy who has been misunderstood all these years? Does he think we will have for-gotten W. on th aircraft carrier announcing our "victory" in Iraq at what was just the beginning of this ordeal? Or his photo op shots in New Orleans with his arm around a very neat, clean girl of color, when most of the survivors were dirty, wet
and exhausted? Or of his other photo-op on the arranged heap of rubbish at the ruiins of the Twin Towers? Well, handily for Mr. Stone, he will have lots of pre-pared shots all lined up for him.

Should be a fairly simple film, of a simple man who just happened to be born into stupidity, weath, sure ,can't hide stupidity.

In the article it says that Stone didn't intentionally make the film "anti-Bush", but in view of his performance in the past 7 years how can it NOT be? I would love to see a film documentary on what makes Bush supporters so blind? Now THAT would be a piece of work.
