I think it was really foolish and unwise for Lindsay to steal someones coat. She can afford 10 of them. It was the right thing to do by returning the coat. I fail to understand why the girl whom lindsay wronged would sue. What grounds does she have to sue? Was the coat damaged? I think she is looking for pay day at Lindsay's expense. She can't get a million dollars for the theft so she she should leave well enough alone. She got her coat back and Lindsay was disgraced and labeled a thief.

if lohan is not held accountable for this theft,which due to the value of the stolen coat might be considered a felony in NYC, she will contnue to steal. Look at Ms. Ryder who probably got away wth many robberies before being held accountable. I would be surprized to learn if she were actively shoplifting these days. Its an addiction and these young promising talented women need to have society acting as the parents they didn' t have. I'm glad she is being sued, even if the crime doesn't fit the charges against her, for her own good.
