(May 5) - "Iron Man" fans may want to save the date for April 30, 2010.

After an expectation-shattering $100.8 million opening weekend, Marvel Entertainment has already staked its claim to that date for an "Iron Man" sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Although Marvel acknowledged that it won't have a new movie bow in 2009, the company also revealed that it will release "Thor" on June 4, 2010.

And summer 2011 will be an "Avengers"-themed season for Marvel, with "The First Avenger: Captain America" hitting theaters on May 6, followed by "The Avengers" in July.

Iron Man was a great movie! Way to go Marvel and keep it up!

I love the idea of Matt Damon as Cap...
How about Will Smith as Luke Cage or the Falcon?

My family saw Iron Man this weekend and just loved it. Great script, set, tricks, acting. Great editing, sound and continuity. RDJ was perfect and for this role and flawless with his delivery. I hope this is his ticket out of a troubled youth.

They are really stepping it up on these super hero movies(I.E. robert downey jr, edward norton, sam jackson, ect.) which makes me wonder how they will top it off. Maybe some justice league film with an uber-cast. gathering the "dark knight" Christian Bale and "superman" Brandon Routh and move on from there.

Someone please tell me how in the world can Samuel L. Jackson be Nick Fury? I've read comics all my life. Nick Fury is white. What's that about?

Iron Man was pretty fun. RDJ makes a great Tony Stark. I just sorta wish there had been some more action in the movie, because when Iron Man kicks butt, the poor victim comes through the wall.

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury was pretty awesome, too. I've already seen him do a great job in the part in the Marvel video games...

Matt Damon AS "Cap"...not "and"

Iron man was the best comic book movie made so far. Despite one plebian's claim to the contrairy, Robert Downey Jr. has always been an amazing actor, and this movie is no exception. The entire cast did a great job. I especially loved Jeff Bridges as Obadiha Stane...I use to think of "Starman" or the dude from "The Big Lebowski" when I thought of Bridges...not anymore. I never realized he could play evil so believably. I will definately be seeing the second Iron Man movie, the new Hulk movie next month (it promises to be more "hulk smash" and no more ang lee artsy fartsy stuff) and the other movies announced. I heard rumors they may cast Matt Damon and "Cap" and the wrestler "HHH" as "Thor". I hope the latter was a joke though.

p.s. Did anyone else notice Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine was one of the terrorist guards when Stark escapes?
