meenajonny, you forget who you are talking about, The Media. They slant every story to a bias or there opinion rather than actually useing any data, as that is to complicated for them. Even the editors of stories online never catch the double negatives, or the wrong usage of wording. The web is full of mispeeded words. Messed up sentences, and liberal bias.

This is stupid, people. Use your brains. The cost of a ticket to see Iron Man in my town in $5.50 for a matinee, and $7.50 for the night time showing. Now, Grand Theft Auto IV sells for $60.00 a pop, tax not included. That means about 834,000 units were sold in its first week. If you use $8.00 as an average ticket cost, that makes more than 1,312,500 tickets sold to Iron Man. If it cost $60.00 a ticket, Iron Man would have grossed $787,500,000.00. That's 287 million more dollars than Grand Theft Auto IV. Basic elementary school mathematics.

Are they really comparing week of sales to 3 days of showings? Last time I checked, a week was 7 days.

Ah, I see. It's explaining the math. Cool.

ok...what the hell

Add to that the fact that 1 video game equals the price of about 6 movie showings (and the deluxe bow was close to 10), of course the game will have made more money. Theaters can only hold so many people a showing.

Why are they comparing two completely different mediums? It's a movie and a video game...they're completely seperate, why are they comparing them. It's stupid.
