Had my 14 year old daughter watching the show with me. How awkward. You could see the confusion on her face. They are pummled by the media and school to say no and here it was on TV. Think of others guys before doing something so irresponsible and then saying "oh, they told us to do it". What you can't think for yourselves? Get a clue.

FYI, the only reason we know for a FACT, BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT, cigarettes kill is b/c why?
Ding Ding Ding: the government regulates them.
Marijuana would have the same effects if tested, the carcinogens alone are astronomical.

So what if it was fake or real
marijuana is safer than a cigarette

Now go see how many folks died of overdose on heroin, crack, cocaine the numbers are up
marijuana 00000000000000000000000000

Another thing, packaging "marijuana" to be sold in sotes is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
The quality would be dirt, Mexico would have a field day b/c the government wouldn't dare tax "the good stuff"...all we would be left with is the Dirt Weed the Mexicanos produce, leaving people no choice but to flock to Canada, Cali, or the Dam to get potent pot-ables.
If you've never tried it...you don't know what your talking about...
SO PLEASE S.T.F.U.!

Nobobdy gets "munchies" from smoking pot!
What kind of stereotypes have you been looking into? Reading too much into the propoganda of a "pot-head" leads morons like yourself to think stoners light up, then raid refrigerators or head to Mickey-D's have got to get a clue.
It's 2008, not 1978....hey mom and dad....light one up and tell me if you get the munchies, until then STFU!

Report This!
If pot were legal, the obesity problem would probably get worse with folks suffering from the munchies.
1) Like people aren't ALREADY smoking pot and getting the munchies.
2) Like Americans could get any more obese!
3) Laws don't exist to protect us from things that are bad for us - we have the right to do what is good OR bad for us like drinking, smoking, or overeating.
Laws are to protect society from abuse of individual discretion - like drinking AND driving, unsanitary unsafe living conditions, or abusing your children.

oh god it was a joke people need to lighten up and get over it, probably more then half the population of america smokes pot, there's some states where the cops wont even bother with a weed "bust" if it's not a large amount. we need to be more worried about important things, not someone pretending to smoke weed on MTV.

remberasha-get with the 90s. FCC has control over censoring and ratings for basic cable, which MTV is on. It does not have control over the special channels that one has to pay more for, like HBO, etc.

It should be legalized, packaged, taxed and sold in liquor stores only to those of whatever "legal age" for alcohol is in your state. It can be packaged and sold like tobacco in the form of factory rolled joints or by bulk quantity, and taxed like tobacco by the pack or by volume weight. Imagine all that money available to support schools and other important programs rather than supporting the legal system with fines, and yet burdening that same system by housing someone who merely smoked a joint resulting in overcrowding and early release for those commiting real crimes against another person. ...//... Just like prohibition has failed in America's past, the criminalization of marijuana is a futile law as the result of the phony taxation attempts in beginning of the last century when it was still legal, but only if you had a tax stamp, but yet none were ever made public for it as an attempt to target the arrest of black and mexican minorities associated with it's use back then. Prohibi

FCC does have power over cable broadcasts. If it didn't, wouldn't you think there'd be free porn on tv?

Have the FCC - Fine them-->???
Does anyone have a brain here?
It was on cable -- which is privately owned broadcast...
The FCC has no control over cable broadcast - They only can control content of public broadcast over the airwaves. This is as it should be.
Does anyone understand the constitution at all here and how it controls our government from controlling us?.... Does anyone understand their freedoms and rights at all?
But the heavy handedness that the MTV execs/producers did in panning the cameras back was in-excusable as a clear case of crushing free expression of the artist. But they do own it and can censor at will. So beware that they are controlling your ideas by content control.
Just remember:
"The three slogans of the Party:
WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH."
