(Feb. 4) - Poor Nicole Kidman. Her last movie, 'The Golden Compass,' bombed at the U.S. box office and now its being blamed for a delayed movie release date, the Huffington Post reports.

Colin Farrell thinks Nicole Kidman's box office flop, 'The Golden Compass,' caused his film's release date to be pushed back.

'Alexander' star Colin Farrell claims Kidman's 'Compass' failure caused his movie, 'Pride and Glory,' to have its release date pushed back, since both films were made by New Line.

"I think New Line lost the bollocks on 'The Golden Compass' ... and they literally don't have enough money to market things," Farrell said at a press junket for his upcoming dark comedy 'In Bruges.'

Farrell went on to praise 'Glory,' a multi-generational family cop drama, which also stars Jon Voigt and Edward Norton.

"Jon Voight is brilliant in it, and Ed [Norton] is great in it and a really strong cast of supporting characters ... It's a really strong piece," Farrell stated.

Maybe the public is tired hearing about Hollywood's huge salaries for mediocre entertainment that costs each of us, when all is said and done, the equivalent of a tank of gas. I don't know about anyone else, but theater-release movies are pretty low on my budget list. You want to get us going back to the theaters? Then give us something worthwhile...

Report This! Collin Farrel is a boozer. He showed up drunk as Britney Spears date to an event one night. Of COURSE he's a boozer, to think anyone who works in hollywood isn't is downright stupid.

I'm not a boozer. I don't even drink alcohol.

"perverted Hollywood that Christian bashing is no longer funny or in vouge!" Oh yes, christian bashing is always funny and in vogue. People who can believe the fairy tales in the bible as actual events that took place, need a little bashing.

If the movie is postponed, it's postponed. Boo hoo. Batman: the dark night, will more than likely be postponed. I'm more upset about that then Colin Farrell's latest attempt at proving all he can do is stand and look pretty after a makeup team and trainer has had their way with him.

And what the hell is with the zombie scripture? Really? It's a kids movie, do you seriously think any CHILD within the ages of 4 to 15 is going to be trying to peer into the POSSIBLE yet highly doubted underlying religious meanings behind a movie about TALKING ANIMALS?

Christ loved the sinner but hated the sin. "Go thy way and sin no more." was His counsel to the adultress.

"Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for the gay-loving, hedonistic..."

I can't imagine Christ making such an arrogant and hateful statement.

Questor45- I pray you find God in your life before it's too late. Satan sure has you deceived.

The fact is that this may very well be why the film was postponed. It happens all the time and New Line has had quite a few films that didn't live up to what was expected as of late.

And seriously, I can't believe people are trashing the way Colin and Nicole look in the photos. Pretty shallow guys.

you know what??? small minded people put entire genre of others in a box, and label them as one. I am a Christian, don't have a problem with "Golden" other than it simply was not a very good movie. It was boring. Sorry. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVED Harry Potter.... what a shocker, huh?

small minded Christians also fear movies that challenge their beliefs. A true Christian is not afraid of sitting in the smoking section. Jesus Christ rules. Whether you believe that or not, doesn't change a thing.

OMG C. Farrell is looking BAD! Dude, you should be glad you're still getting parts. You look like your a boozer in your 40's with that puffy look you got goin on. Kinda funny you're blaming someone elses movie for the delay in the release of your movie. Maybe the Co. senses a stinker at the box office or doesn't want to put you on the promo circuit til you look better.

The "golden compass" and the comments here just show how intolerant and close minded "christians" actually are.

Christians are the LAST people who should consider themselves "followers of Christ."
