(March 22) - News cameras have captured Brad Pitt building homes in New Orleans, and now federal tax filings for the Jolie Pitt Foundation have documented the good works that Brad and Angelina Jolie are doing behind the scenes.

All told, they gave more than $8 million in donations in 2006, with Pitt putting in $4,402,317, and Jolie donating $4,123,613, the Huffington Post reports, citing newly released federal tax filings. (These latest figures don't include 2007 – in which, among other charitable efforts, Brad's Make It Right Foundation raised $5 million.)

I admire Brad and Angelina's selflessness! They are a beautiful couple who are trying to make aware the plight of the less fortunate! More celebrities and wealthy people should be so generous with their time and money. I sincerely believe that they are doing this out of genuine feelings not for some publicity. The fact that there are people belittling their good works just makes me sick. So what if they do have nannies to help out. I have never seen a picture with any of their children with a nanny. They are always with their parents. I admire that they want to adopt children from other countries to help give them a better life. Just as another poster said...."any child adopted here is better off then any other child any where else!" Good for them. You Go Brad and Angelina!

I will try this again. My comments were not shown on previous page.
To Bill Cochran: Before you criticize other's grammar and spelling, It is "If I were", not "If I was". And .... matter, not mater.

ANGELINA SCHOULD BE PRESIDENT OF USA AND BRAD SCHOULD BE VICE-PRESIDENT. AT LEAST THEY ARE GOOD LOOKING AND THEY KNOWS PROBLEMS OF AMERICA AND WORLD. WHENEVER I SEE OBAMA OR HILARY OR CHENEY I GET FEELING THAT THEY NEVER HELPED OR WORRIED ABOUT REAL PROBLEMS

I believe that Brad and Angelina don't adopt here in this country because it is much harder to do so here. I also feel that the fact that they are so well known would make it impossible to adopt without everyone knowing all the details about the biological parents. We saw what problems that brought to Angelina and Brad when those details were made public for one of their other adopted babies. Also, ANY CHILD BORN IN THIS COUNTRY HAS A MUCH BETTER CHANCE AT LIFE THAN "ANY" CHILD BORN IN "ANY" OTHER COUNTRY.

I don't know why there are so many mean and jealous people in the world who want to denegrate and belittle people who are truly trying to make a difference in the world by doing positive things, and sharing the wealth they have accumulated. Brad and Angelina look so happy with their family, I am certain that is why they want to share that happiness by giving to others. I have raised six children and helped raise 11 grandchildren. we were never wealthy, but if we had been I would gladly have given all my money away for the happiness
