Richard Widmark had a special quality on the screen, completely believable in each role he played. He was one of the few greats left from his generation. He'll be missed!

The only actor I ever wanted to meet and though that wasn't possible, somehow I got the idea we "met" him on the screen. So thankful he lived a long and full life...Totally unique...totally amazing and absolutely irreplaceable.

I FEEL RICHARD WAS ONE OF THE GREAT ACTORS OF YESTERYEAR NOT LIKE TODAY'S WHO REALLY DON'T CARE MUCH FOR THE ART. NO MATTER WHAT CHARACTER HE PLAYED HE WAS BELIEVABLE IN THE ROLE.

the actors of today to not even come close to the actors of yesterday, they knew how to act without all the blood a gore the actors today seem to need.

"As he said. Only a few had it, "FILM MAGIC" to connect to the viewers.Such as>
J.Wayne, R.Widmark, J,Stewart, C,Gable, M.Monroe,H.Fonda,J.Garland,C.Eastwood
J.Mason H.Bogart. M.Rooney. R,Taylor. R.Burton. etc, etc, Mostly all passed away
now. "But" still rememberd and enjoyed watching, "Not" like the present day lot of
"scum bags" that infest Hollywood.

He was one of the great actors from the 1950's on, with John Wayne, Marlon Brando, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, Rock Hudson, Tony Curtis, Robert Mitchum, Paul Newman, all the dudes of lore and such. Honorable mention to Clint "Dirty Harry" Eastwood, Charles "Death Wish" Bronson and those who followed.

A great actor. Not too many left now, if any. Movie studios just don't produce that kind of talent anymore. A real shame. Nowadays they all come and go in a few short years because most have no real talent. It's all about packaging these days.

Alas there is only one great actor lefty Kirk Douglas and he hasn't acted in years. It would behove hollywood to amke these new actors watch and study the greats as these new ones are about looks more than talent. I can't remember the last time I watched a moves made before 1970.
Mr Widmark RIP
