Critic Reviews
It's a fast-paced motion picture that fails the "reality test" but maintains a certain intensity for its entire running length. It's entertaining in the same way that an episode of "24" is entertaining.
Read the full reviewVantage Point starts to slide off the rails when it tracks a tourist (Forest Whitaker) and his trusty camcorder; instead of Zapruder-like intrigue, the episode has him running around like an agent in a rote thriller.
Read the full reviewTurns out to be a tepid thriller that promises more than it delivers.
Read the full reviewThis is competent if completely impersonal filmmaking of a familiar type that finds the usual allotment of famous, or at least famous enough, actors.
Read the full reviewThe loaded cast does what it can with the paper-thin characterizations, but Vantage Point gets hijacked early by its high-concept premise, and it quickly devolves into a by-the-numbers thriller with the numbers out of order.
Read the full reviewThe truth is that two other films with Greengrass' name on them, "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum," have spoiled us for this kind of thriller filmmaking, and stacked against that, Vantage Point doesn't have a chance.
Read the full reviewThe result is a movie that's both clever and stupid - an interesting feat.
Read the full reviewBy the end, Vantage Point is such a unholy mess of drooling sentiment and sloppy loose ends that you?ll hate yourself for being suckered in.
Read the full reviewAlthough it was held back by the studio for about a year, someone apparently came to the inevitable conclusion that no amount of ripening time was going to help this gimmicky and ultimately harebrained movie.
Read the full reviewStraight out of the slice-and-dice school of filmmaking, Vantage Point fractures chronology and perspective in a vain attempt to disguise its flimsiness.
Read the full reviewVantage Point has nothing going on. There's no artistic, philosophical or even jolly entertainment reason for adopting this strategy. It's just arbitrary, a gimmick.
Read the full reviewA 23-minute movie dragged out, via some narrative gimmickry, to a punishing hour and a half.

Movie Totally sucked.....
"Forrest Whitaker nedded a pay day......... his role was unreal.......camera would have been destroyed in real life.....hated the movie.."
Been there done That
"Why do they insist on having the chase scene run so long. I wanted to shout "Kojak Kojak" so bad."
ok movie
"i think the movie was ok but it was dragged on for way to long. By the way for donkixote most 13 year olds are watching rated r movies that are much worse than this and i think this movie was rated correctly cause it wouldnt of made it as an r movie."
Fantastic
"It was a GREAT movie. Fast paced. Action packed. Lots of twists. Very well done."
very good
"I am a grown up I thought the movie was very good did not mind the replays over and over ,it got everyone prospective"
u people r nuts
"okay so this movie rocked my soxs. It was soooo good it had me and all my friends on the edge of our seats and always kept us guess. I loved the fact it was from different points because then we could learn more and more about who was doing this. So it was a little graphic big deal! It's about what is going on in our world and what could happen. If it was on the news right now in real life u people wouldn't be saying anything about how it was bad or graphic. This movie mad eme feel like i was there . And if it were on the news u guys would want to see it from different points of view to so u can learn more about the situation. I mean y would u see it if u didn't want the same scenes to be played over and over again from different points of view. THAT"S WHAT VANTAGE POINT MEANS!!!! Oh well i recommed it"
Groundhog day revisited
"Everytime the clock popped up in the corner of the screen the entire audience groaned. This was a great cast, I was looking forward to the movie, but I was sooooo disappointed. The blood and guts was unnecessary, the plot twists that went nowhere were dull and whole let down of not using Dennis Quaid's great acting ability to the fullest was totally a disgrace."
Must be a Matthew Fox Fan
"I saw this because I saw my favorite actor from Lost in it. Didn't know anything about the film or the plot. Good thing. Terrible movie that reminds me of the film Groundhog Day. Same scene played over and over and over again. Doesn't matter that it was supposed to be from different "Vantage Points". It still didn't work. Save your money and go to dinner instead."
PG 13 ?????
"Our Film Rating Board says its ok for a 13 year old to see extreme graphic violence, cold blooded killings, close-ups of bodies ripped apart by explosion, over and over and over. However, show a woman's breast,"
what a disappointment
"I've been looking forward to this movie since they began showing trailers back in the fall. Although the car chase was great and it moved well - there was no story here. The concept is great but it would have been nice to have some plot to follow. I think the build-up to this movie is what ruined it --- no, it just didn't deliver. Wait and get the dvd. I give it a C-"
