I like the trailer, will definitely get this! http://fakesteveballmer.blogspot.com
This is just all wrong. I loved those book growing up, I too had to read them for school and found them anything but tedious, when assigned The Dark is Rising I finished it in one sitting. And now to see this wonderful story brutalized. Has anyone else noticed that Will isn't British? I thought that was kind of an important part, since the series is at heart an extension of Arthurian legend, how can it take place in America? In addition, Susan Cooper wrote this book in 1973, why is it set in modern times? And lastly, there is NO mention of a secret romance of Will's. There is no mention of him being interested in girls at all. He is an Old One, beyond all that. I have not seen a book to movie rendition so poor since the recent Eragon and the older movie The Indian in the Cupboard. I don't understand why the change. It is a mystical and magical story without all the worthless and frivolous embellisments.
this movie is horrible my 7th grade class studied the book and the movie has nothing to do with the book
This movie is based on the second book in a series by Susan Cooper. The second book and the series are named "The Dark is Rising."
