Capt. Jack Sparrow
Hide the rum -- Jack's back! When we last saw Capt. Jack (Johnny Depp), the Kraken was dragging him to a watery grave. But never underestimate a drunken pirate; a little drowning isn't going to stop him from journeying to the end of the world so that he can find Davy Jones' chest and reclaim the Black Pearl. Savvy?

Will Turner
With his father, Bootstrap Bill, still indentured on the Flying Dutchman, Will (Orlando Bloom) is determined to earn his freedom -- and he's just as determined to convince Elizabeth to marry him, so that he can enter into his own form of indentured servitude. (Oh, we're just kidding. Marriage is awesome.)
Elizabeth Swann
While Will's out trying to rescue his dad from Davy Jones, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) is trying to rescue Will when he gets in over his head. Man, so much rescuing -- it kind of makes our heads hurt. And who'll wind up saving the day? We've seen this girl with a sword. Our money's on Elizabeth.
Sao Feng
Pirate lord Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) has a lot of things going for him: He controls the South China Sea, he has the charts Will and Elizabeth need to find Jack, and he convenes the Brethren Court of Pirate Lords when Lord Beckett threatens their way of life. Plus he's got cooler facial hair than Jack. Yeah, we said it.
Capt. Barbossa
Once Jack's sworn enemy, the formerly dead Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) returns to lead an armada of pirates -- from the four corners of the world -- into battle against the East India Trading Company. Aww, bloodthirsty ruffians banding together in a common cause ... and you thought Idol Gives Back was touching.
Capt. Davy Jones
The shoe's on the other foot for the cursed Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), now captaining the Flying Dutchman at the behest of Lord Cutler Beckett, who owns his heart (and not in a romantic sense). But don't pity our old friend; he's still trying to control the seas and enslave Jack for good. Once an evildoer, always an evildoer.
Tia Dalma
'Harry Potter' isn't the only movie starring a witch this summer. Tia Dalma (Naomie Harris), having already brought Barbossa back to life, decides to come along for the ride and help Will and Elizabeth track down Jack at the World's End. Guess somebody hasn't heard that three's a crowd ...
Lord Cutler Beckett
As chairman of the East India Trading Company, Lord Beckett (Tom Hollander) has vast political influence. And as the possessor of Davy Jones' heart, he controls the seas, building a mighty armada with the intent of ending piracy forever. Yeah, that'll teach people to download music for free! Whoops, wrong piracy.
