Nature Boy Synopsis

The "Nature Boy" in this British miniseries was David Witton (Lee Ingleby), a sullen teenager who felt more at ease with animals than with people. After the death of his sister, David embarked upon a search for the father who deserted him years before. Along the way, he encountered and explored a variety of environmental issues, and also managed to expose a cover-up involving wholesale pollution. Paul McGann appeared as David's dad Steve at various story junctures in extended flashback-fantasy sequences. A winner of the Royal Television Society Best Serial Award, the four-part, four-hour Nature Boy was broadcast by BBC2 from February 11 to March 6, 2000. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
