WHEN I SAW THIS SHOW ON BROADWAY I ENVISIONED MERYL STREEP IN THE ROLE AS DONNA. WHAT BRILLIANT CASTING !! I ALSO THINK PIERCE WILL BE WONDERFUL HE HAS A GREAT SINGING VOICE AND SO DOES MERYL. SO LIGHTEN UP AND ENJOY THE FILM FOR WHAT IT IS.A GREAT MUSICAL COMEDY. WE NEED MORE OF THESE MOVIES. SO SICK OF WAR AND SLASHER CRAP.
PS: All three "fathers" are too old too. This is one play in which the AGE of the characters DOES make a difference i.e. I saw an ageing opera diva play Donna in Sydney, Australia and she was all wrong.........so bad the audience laughed!
Meryl is a great actress but she is TOO OLD to play Donna! Waaaaaaaaaaay too old. Donna is supposed to be 37, Sophia is suppposed to be 20. Why would the producer and director SPOIL this great play (which I've seen 6 times all around the world)? Meryl is at least 55 years old if you haven't noticed.............and it RUINS the whole concept! Good God. Madonna would have been a better choice.
this is my favorite play in the world cant wait for this movie to come out........i luv ..the part where donna falls and then the guy saids you always know how to make a entrence..lol....its gonna be great this movie..michelle
OMG, i cant WAIT 4 this 2 come out! it's going 2 b amazing! The music and the story line r excellent AND the stars in it... will definately make it shine!
I think this will be a great movie. It has a good music, a good story, and very entertaining. I think everybody should see it.

Haven't seen the Broadway thing or the Vegas thing but the trailer makes it seem like its going to be very entertaining!!...Love Musicals....Hope I'm not dissappointed like I was with Rent
Any movie with Colin Firth is an A movie for me !!!!!
