This is for "olesyateslya"---you are an IDIOT!!! This is a MOVIE, not real life. It might be based on a true story, but everything doesn't have to be right on target because IT'S A MOVIE!!! If you want something that's fact-for-fact, you need to stick to documentaries or the news!!!
hi, i was really sorry to waste my time watching this film. it sounds like an excuse for the third World War that is without any doubts ruin the planet. the creators of the movie were so reckless to mix up to different terms as Soviet Army and russian Army, for example, pretending not to know that Soviet army also included the armies of Georgia and Ukraine well protected by America at the moment. BTW at those times of so called Cold War there were no Russia and in this very movie they keep repeating "we'll kill the Russians" for about half a million times. Was the movie really produced by the government of the United States? Where are the proves of the blamings said? Well, do all the people really want to start the war or it's only politics?
This is THE STUFF that makes a great Film ! I love Hanks and he is awesome in "Private Ryan";One day I will catch it. I hope Tom wins another Oscar this year...
One can't miss a Mike Nichols film! He's a master of nuance, subtlety and satire w/o beating a drum.
Ms. Julia Roberts, oscar winner herself, teamed with Tom Hanks! In her first big on-screen role since all her children were born...I'm a huge fan of hers, so anything she's in, I've got to see. The movie's based on a true story...I'm hoping it is as good as all the publicity it's bringing in! Can't wait to go see it
Im from Texas and it is almost funny listening to Hanks and Roberts accent. But with politics in the oscar , Im sure we will see this thing get many awards while passing the real winners for the year.
Great book by the way and it is on tape for those drivers who care to listen while they commute.
Charlie Wilson was real. The Mujahdeen fought the war but Charlie, the CIA and Texas socialites paid for it.
