'Little Miss' Steve Carell

Budding journalist "Frank" lands the plum assignment of interviewing the one and only Steve Carell. And whaddya know? Frank just happens to be a huge Steve Carell fan. Funny how that works.

Meet the Hoovers, who put the "fun" in dysfunctional. When seven-year-old Olive lands a spot at a beauty pageant, her family members hop into a van to get her there -- or kill each other trying.

Frank's brother-in-law Richard (Greg Kinnear) is a buffoon who thinks "sarcasm is the refuge of losers." That phrase is so genius, we're thinking of getting T-shirts made. Sarcastic ones, of course.

What better place to talk about suicide than the dinner table? Naturally, it's Olive (Abigail Breslin) who cuts to the heart of the matter and speaks the truth: It's silly to try to kill yourself over a boy.
