How does Advanced Search work?

With Advanced Search, you can search for movies by title, genre, rating or starring actors' names. You can also search for theaters by distance; by the amenities offered, such as online ticketing, handicap access, and enhanced seating and sound; or by theater chain or express code.

To use Advanced Search to find movies:
1. In the Showtimes & Tickets section at the top of any Moviefone page, click Advanced Search.

2. On the Find Movies tab, you can search for movies currently in theaters by:

  • Movie Title: Enter the title of a movie in the field and click Go.
  • Genre: Select a movie category from the drop-down menu and click Go.
  • Star Name: enter the name of a starring actor from the movie in the field and click Go.
  • MPAA Rating: Select a rating from the drop-down menu and click Go.

    3. On the Find Movies tab, you can search the movie database for any movie or DVD by:
  • Movie Title: Enter the title of a movie in the field and click Go.
  • Cast or Crew Member: Enter the name of any member of the cast or film crew in the field and click Go.

Note:: When searching by cast or crew member, you will be taken to the Celebrity page, where you can view a biography and filmography.
