What's a horrible mistake!!!!! Some critics compared Atonement to the epic love story of Titanic. In my opinion, it couldn't carry a candle to Titanic. The plot and sub-plot is simply stupid, especialy the ending and acting was subpar. American Gangster, No country 4 old men or even Juno is the better choice where you can see real acting and plots. Denzel, Javier, and especilly Ellen Page (the future Jodie Foster) are amazing.

Sweeny Todd, the London musical PLAY, was far superior to the movie version of the demon barber of Fleet Street! IMAGINATION, the mind's eye, provides more suspense and intrigue than actually watching Johnny Depp create all that blood and gore by actually slashing throats.

There's probably a lot to be said for the format of this year's Globes. As long as we, as a society, continue to be enamoured with celebrities the traditional format will continue. However, the shortened, non-political version was refreshing!

Best awards format ever! No political comments! No long walks to get the awards! That is the way they need to be done in all future shows!
