Milla Jovovich: Hi! Welcome to Moviefone's Unscripted. I'm Milla Jovovich and I'm here with Ali Larter and we're going to talk about our new film 'Resident Evil: Extinction' and were going to be answering some of your questions and even have a few of our own so lets do it.

Ali Larter: Let's get in it.

Milla Jovovich: So how did you prepare to play Claire Redfield and were you nervous in any way since she's such a big character?

Ali Larter: I was because you know the fans of 'Resident Evil' are very very loyal fans. So when you are depicting someone, they already have an idea of in their head, it made me a little bit nervous. But then you go, I mean Paul has gave me definitely the broad strokes of it and then in that I tried to make it my own and have fun and it was great getting to be a redhead. I loved that. It was so fabulous. How cool is it though that they allow strong female characters in the movie? That's what I love about the genre to begin with is that they allow women to kick butt. Anything a boy can do a girl can do better.

Milla Jovovich: Well its true, when I first got involved with this franchise, it was something my little brother introduced me to. He was playing the female character in the game and he was like 13 at the time. He played Joe Valentine. So it was one of those things even the boys would play the girls because they knew it was so cool. It's one of the only games that's like that.

Ali Larter: Are you like the coolest thing to him now that you became that role?

Milla Jovovich: Well are you kidding? That's why I did the first movie. I was like "Okay, my little brother is going to think I'm God if I do this."

Ali Larter: If Capcom asked you to lend your voice to the games, would you? And do you know what Capcom is because I do not.

Milla Jovovich: I happen to know what Capcom is. Capcom is the people that make the 'Resident Evil' game. Well I would love to! I think it would be really amazing to have Alice be a character or have something to do with the games but I don't know. So far they are being really weird about it, they haven't done it.

Ali Larter: You are so distinguishable as this character. I was talking to people today and its like you have Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, and all these women that have created these characters but I do I think about present day and you've created kind of like an iconic action star and people are so excited when they hear about you, when they hear about this movie. I was like so pumped to be a part of it.

Milla Jovovich: I have to say after the second movie, I wasn't totally happy with it and stuff and then suddenly I get this third script and I'm like okay what are they really gonna do. Number three? You know what I mean?

Ali Larter: Right, you never know. It's so true.

Milla Jovovich: I was so not ready to do it and then I read the script and I was like Oh my god Las Vegas! Half buried in the sand! Claire Redfield! That's so cool! Alice clones? I get to die like 20 different ways! Like woah! This is amazing. So who is the biggest ass-kicker Claire Redfield in 'Resident Evil' or Jessica Sanders from 'Heroes?'

Ali Larter: Oh.... It is like you know..what is so fun about getting to play...like on 'Heroes' I play this girl and she's a single mom like battling all these things in her life just trying to get by so on one side, I get to play some emotional kind of sensitive stuff with my son and then they developed this alter ego so I kinda get to play this vicious really like sexy kind of sadistic character. So to have that balance but then we just finished shooting the pilot of 'Heroes' when the script came in and what I loved about Claire, is that she will do whatever she needs to survive but its selfless. I think everything about these two female characters is that they are doing it to protect others. They are not coming from a place where they are any way self involved. They've given their lives in any way to protect others.
