SophiaTheHitcher: Hey There...
MoviefoneCapulet: hi!
MoviefoneCapulet: how's your day going?
SophiaTheHitcher: How's it going?
SophiaTheHitcher: haha
MoviefoneCapulet: jinx!
SophiaTheHitcher: it's great thanks.
SophiaTheHitcher: how's yours?
MoviefoneCapulet: good - can't believe how nice it was out
SophiaTheHitcher: I know. Beautiful day. Although I was watching all of it from press suites :-)
MoviefoneCapulet: hehe - well they've got good food tho right?
SophiaTheHitcher: The mac and cheese was amazing
MoviefoneCapulet: mmm ... mac and cheese ...
SophiaTheHitcher: yeah. It's one of my favorites
MoviefoneCapulet: me too! so - i bet you'll never guess what my first question is ...
SophiaTheHitcher: lemme have it
MoviefoneCapulet: (gotta ask)
SophiaTheHitcher: okay...
MoviefoneCapulet: were you a fan of the original 'Hitcher?' coz i sure was!
SophiaTheHitcher: I was actually only four when the first one came out, so I didn't see it. And after we began this process I didn't really want to ... You know, it's like we're building a house from the ground up, so I don't want to look at someone else's blueprint
MoviefoneCapulet: i hear ya, about not wanting to mimic the original. but are you at all curious now?
SophiaTheHitcher: well now I've seen quite a few parts of it. It was great to update the movie rather than make a shot-for-shot remake, because we got to make our own, but still gave so many nods to the original in all the mimicked moments
MoviefoneCapulet: obviously the big change was adding a strong female lead. did you have fun with that?
SophiaTheHitcher: well yeah. I'm definitely not playing the Jennifer Jason Leigh role. And it was one of the reasons I really wanted to do the movie. Who doesn't want to be the action hero, right?
