MoviefoneCapulet: hey there
JTMDJesse: What's up?!
MoviefoneCapulet: nothing much – just chillin. How's your day so far?
JTMDJesse: Busy, but it's goin' well.
MoviefoneCapulet: your first movie junket right?
JTMDJesse: Yeah, it is.
MoviefoneCapulet: Must be crazy – how is it to go from TV to leading man in a movie?
JTMDJesse: It's awesome. It's any actor's dream really. It's definitely an exciting time.
MoviefoneCapulet: was there a totally different approach to this role compared to 'Housewives'?
JTMDJesse: Absolutely, it's a completely different character. JT's far more confident and outgoing ... and experienced. He's the consummate player, but my challenge from an acting standpoint was to make him likable. I took some cues from Matthew Broderick in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' and from Patrick Dempsey in 'Can't Buy Me Love' and I threw a little bit of myself in there.
MoviefoneCapulet: yeah - I definitely got that from watching the movie - you don't want to hate John Tucker ... you kinda want to be him
MoviefoneCapulet: I mean I lost count of the very attractive women you got to act with
JTMDJesse: He's the one all the guy's wanna be and the all the girls wanna be with. Oh yeah, I definitely got to work with some beautiful women. But, after working with them I was really surprised to find out that they are all very cool and down to earth. Shooting this film was so much fun and they were all great to work with.
MoviefoneCapulet: so I gotta ask - how did they all compare to Eva (Longoria)?
JTMDJesse: Well, Eva is Eva ... but they are all amazing girls in their own way. All very dynamic and distinct personalities. And, obviously, all incredibly beautiful. I'm a very blessed young man.
MoviefoneCapulet: you are indeed, sir
MoviefoneCapulet: how did your high school life compare to T Dog's?
JTMDJesse: I was no T Money. Actually, I was kind of a loner, stuck somewhere between the jocks and the artsy-creative kids, but I was really into music and dressed more alternative ... dyed hair and GreenDay T-Shirts.
MoviefoneCapulet: ah - sounds like we woulda hung out - did you act then?
JTMDJesse: Nah, I never liked musical theatre, so that turned me off from acting in high school.
MoviefoneCapulet: hehe. so no musicals on the horizon for you. one more q - what kind of movie you want to do next?
JTMDJesse: Definitely not a high school comedy. I'm looking for the right role, something with a little more depth and complexity, possibly a drama. I guess I'll know it when I see it.
MoviefoneCapulet: cool – thanks for chatting!
MoviefoneCapulet: (even tho I'm really jealous)
