MoviefoneTricia: hey, how's it going?
PWalker: Good good and you?
MoviefoneTricia: not too bad - i wish i were in san francisco like you, though
PWalker: where are you at?
MoviefoneTricia: new york city. actually, brooklyn
PWalker: Ill be there next week. NY that is
MoviefoneTricia: sweet - do you like new york, being a california boy?
PWalker: Yeah. First time I hated it, but now i dig any opportunity to go visit
MoviefoneTricia: yeah, it does grow on you
PWalker: for sure. Now Im looking to buy a place there
MoviefoneTricia: really? what neighborhood?
PWalker: Not sure. I havent really narrowed it down yet. Ill lock it down next week
MoviefoneTricia: of course i think everyone should live in brooklyn!
PWalker: hehe right on.
MoviefoneTricia: anyway
MoviefoneTricia: movies
PWalker: oh crap
MoviefoneTricia: I just saw eight below AND running scared this week, and they couldn't be more different - what was it like making them back to back?
MoviefoneTricia: i mean, one's a family film and one's really dark and violent
PWalker: there was actually quite some time between em. I did running scared for myself and eight below for my daughter.
MoviefoneTricia: aww
MoviefoneTricia: has she seen it?
PWalker: awwww
PWalker: tomorrow she will. She just flew in to see me today
PWalker: the premier is gonna be a family affair
MoviefoneTricia: how fun!
PWalker: yep yep
MoviefoneTricia: you must have loved working with dogs - i know you have one, right?
PWalker: Yeah. His name is Boone and he is a Chesapeake Bay retriever. He was actually in the movie "into the blue" with me.
MoviefoneTricia: ah, so you're getting him into the biz, huh?
PWalker: dats my dawg
MoviefoneTricia: does he have an agent?
PWalker: hehe. yeah something like that. I figured what the hell since he pretty much goes everywhere with me anyhow
MoviefoneTricia: heh, that's a good point... the dogs in 8 below were some of the most adorable things i've ever seen - was it fun to work with them?
PWalker: It was a great time. I'm crazy about animals in general and I especially dig dogs. I think the hardest thing was not being able to take them home at the end of filming. Especially Shorty (the white dog) he was my favorite.
MoviefoneTricia: so is it easier to work with dogs or people?
PWalker: Dogs. People can be a pain :-)
MoviefoneTricia: HA
MoviefoneTricia: totally agree
MoviefoneTricia: ok, let's talk running scared
MoviefoneTricia: I HAVE to ask --
PWalker: yeah?
MoviefoneTricia: have you played the [x-rated] game on the official site?
PWalker: no but I've heard about it. I was laughing my ass off.
MoviefoneTricia: one of my coworkers told me about it and i tried to play, but i couldn't get the darn flash player to load
MoviefoneTricia: i heard they took it down...?
PWalker: seriously?
MoviefoneTricia: that's what i heard, but i couldn't get it to load so i never found out for sure
PWalker: Maybe just a rumor then
PWalker: I wanna play
MoviefoneTricia: yeah, you should check it out after this... it sounds, uh, creative
PWalker: You think :-)
PWalker: ?
MoviefoneTricia: heh... i think i'm not allowed to say anything else because this is a family site… sort of
PWalker: oh no! I said ass.
MoviefoneTricia: oh, we're ok with "ass"
PWalker: how bout shi. ?
MoviefoneTricia: we like pushing the envelope at moviefone -- we could probably go with shi*
PWalker: lol
MoviefoneTricia: like the title of that new beastie boys movie, have you heard of it?
PWalker: nah. What's that about?
MoviefoneTricia: it's called 'Awesome: I F&!#in' Shot That'
PWalker: lol nice title.
MoviefoneTricia: yeah, seriously
PWalker: I grew up on those guys
MoviefoneTricia: they're awesome
MoviefoneTricia: ok, so actual question about running scared - how'd you work on your New Jersey accent?
MoviefoneTricia: it sounded authentic to me, but what do i know
PWalker: lots of gangster movies-dialect coach-hanging out with real mobsters
MoviefoneTricia: really?
MoviefoneTricia: what was that like?
PWalker: I got into a bit of trouble but it all turned out well.
MoviefoneTricia: wow, i can't believe you're not going to tell me what kind of trouble
PWalker: They were always puttin on a show for me
PWalker: you know - playing things up a bit
MoviefoneTricia: did you get to shoot a gun? ha ha
PWalker: lol
MoviefoneTricia: ok, so before we wrap this up (not sure how much time you have) i have to ask one question: i read that raising arizona is your favorite movie
PWalker: The Big Lebowski is my fav now. I love the Coen Bros.
PWalker: Oops, sorry, gotta go now
MoviefoneTricia: it was great chatting with you
PWalker: be good
MoviefoneTricia: you, too!
