MoviefoneCapulet: when you did the first one - could you ever have imagined being here for the fourth?
AnnaFaris01: I still can't believe it. It's been a great experience though- I'm so happy that I've been able to be a part of all of them.
MoviefoneCapulet: I bet - what do you think gives the franchise its staying power?
AnnaFaris01: I think that because we can continue to reinvent ourselves- there's always movies to be spoofed- we have no rules or plot scructure that we have to adhere to
AnnaFaris01: I'm terrible at typing

MoviefoneCapulet: but Cindy always gets to save the day
AnnaFaris01: that's true- but I think it's a scary state of affairs when the world depends on Cindy Campbell...
MoviefoneCapulet: she does all right - especially considering how many times she gets hit on the head
AnnaFaris01: maybe that's why she's not the brightest
MoviefoneCapulet: how's Scary Movie different without the Wayans brothers?
AnnaFaris01: I think David Zucker uses more physical comedy and less sexuality-based humor
MoviefoneCapulet: is that a challenge for you - the physicaly comedy?
MoviefoneCapulet: (see - i can't type either)
AnnaFaris01: I feel better- sometimes it's not easy taking all the hits and falling all over the place- but I think it's funny
MoviefoneCapulet: yeah - the baseball blow to the head was pretty sweet
AnnaFaris01: the ball was soft but the landing was hard
MoviefoneCapulet: lol - ouch!
MoviefoneCapulet: I'm a huge Zucker fan - Airplane blew my mind when I was growing up - what's he like on the set?
AnnaFaris01: he's great- like a kid. He just giggles all day long- sometimes he forgets to call "cut"
MoviefoneCapulet: what has he taught you about making comedy?
AnnaFaris01: he taught me to play everything like a drama- keep grounded and never wink at the audience
MoviefoneCapulet: seems like with this one you guys went more topical - with Dr. Phil and Oprah scenes
AnnaFaris01: I think it's great that we expanded our movie to include spoofing not just movies but pop culture and politics. I hope we do that more.
MoviefoneCapulet: it's always fun to have Leslie Nielsen as president
AnnaFaris01: He's such a lovely man. I was thrilled that he came back for this one
MoviefoneCapulet: did you get some pointers from him as well?
AnnaFaris01: just say everything as dry and wide-eyed as possible
MoviefoneCapulet: sage advice!
MoviefoneCapulet: you've had a really busy year
MoviefoneCapulet: for Just Friends - you played a hilarious pop singer
AnnaFaris01: thank you- I loved playing that role
MoviefoneCapulet: did you base Samantha on Britney, Christina, Jessica or someone else?
AnnaFaris01: You know, I think Samantha is crazier than anyone out there. I just had fun playing with the idea of a spoiled rich pop star
MoviefoneCapulet: must've been fun fer sure
AnnaFaris01: I would love to play that role again
MoviefoneCapulet: and you've also worked with two Oscar-winning directors
AnnaFaris01: yes- I try to mix it up. I like to think that you never know where I'll pop up next
MoviefoneCapulet: how was Ang Lee on Brokeback - kinda intimidating maybe?
AnnaFaris01: Ang was really intimidating- very kind but I was really nervous
MoviefoneCapulet: which might've helped your character
MoviefoneCapulet: she's a chatty one right?
AnnaFaris01: probably- yes she's the chatty one- I had to learn a Texan accent in two days
MoviefoneCapulet: wow - impressive
MoviefoneCapulet: so if you HAD to choose, would you pick the Scary Movie-style broad comedy or your more arthouse films?
AnnaFaris01: Can't I have my cake and eat it too? I love being able to do both- and because of Scary Movie I can work on small indies for nothing
MoviefoneCapulet: ok - you can have your cake
MoviefoneCapulet: as long as we get more couch-jumping scenes
AnnaFaris01: no problem
