Okay, for anyone who hasn't seen the movie, don't read the rest of this. I got kinda lost watching this movie. Did the end happen because of a nuclear bomb being dropped or was the last part of the movie an explosion due to the monster? I didn't know. I mean i hear like a bomb siren going off right before the end. Oh, and what happened at the end of the credits? was it not really over?
This is a movie about really pretty good looking people making really bad decisions. If all the rats are running the opposite direction that you are going, maybe, just maybe, they know something you don't.
That's the POINT.... there IS no plot! Did 9-11 have a PLOT?? NO!!! This is a catastrophe movie, totally unplanned, no plot, and we got to experience their story through the eyes of their camera! EXCELLENT flick!

Whoever said this movie is overbudgeted is ignorant. It was easily the most unique movie I've ever seen and it was the funnest time I've had at the movies in a while. For a movie that only cost $25 million to make, it was totally worth it
this movie was incredible......nuff said, the point of view at which it was filmed was unique and the reason you don't know much about the monsters is because the characters in the movie who were filming it didn't know much about it either....put yourself into their situation and you wouldn't know shit about it either, who gives a flying shit about the monsters name, i'm sure the characters in the movie didn't, all they knew was that a huge badass monster was destroying manhattan and killing everything in its path, thats all they needed to know, it was incredibly filmed and is definitely worth seeing, probably the most intense movie i've seen in a very long time
this was the worst movie ever it made no sense there was no plot they didnt show what happend to the monster or what the hell the monster name is this was nothing but a over budget gozilla movie
if you like movies with a bunch of action in it you will love this movie, myself i thought it was a decent movie but its worth going to. i thought the ending really sucked though
